Programs

Regular participation is encouraged for the best practical development of cycling and fitness skills.  For the 2017/18 track season, the MRCC has partnered with the National Cycling Institute Milton (NCIM) to provide youth structured and high performance training for all abilities led by nationally certified coaches. This programming provides flexibility as well as significant value over previous years’ programming.

Program Benefits

  • Skill level / fitness based development programs tailored to each rider ;
  • Multiple weekly coached sessions/practices focusing on skills development, fitness, nutrition and basic bicycle maintenance ;
  • Coaching and support on and off the bike;
  • Additional ad-hoc sessions (e.g. BMX, cycling studio, etc.)
  • Social events (additional fees and parent support may be required).

Program Details

Structured Track Cycling Instruction

  • Three sessions available per week
  • Mondays/Fridays => 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Saturdays => 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Professionally Coached
  • Must be track certified
  • Provide own track bike or rental included
  • Provides a fun, progressive program to develop fitness and skills on the track
  • The best value in skill level / fitness based development

High Performance Track Cycling Instruction

  • Two sessions available per week
  • Wednesdays => 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Sundays => 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Professionally coached
  • Must be track certified
  • Provide own track bike
  • Provides higher intensity training for those riders that are more competition focused
